Why did you choose to get certified against ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701?
Privacy is fundamental to what we do. UrbanLogiq sought certification against ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 for the purpose of better serving, protecting, and demonstrating our commitment to the privacy and security of our customers and partners. As a web-based, cloud-based software platform serving the public sector, the importance of security and building robust embedded cyber-security safeguards cannot be overstated.
What are the main benefits for your company after
implementation and certification against ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701?
ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 provide standards and requirements for security, cybersecurity, and privacy security, and lay a framework to manage privacy controls and reduce risk to the privacy rights of individuals.
Achieving certification against them allowed UrbanLogiq to seek out and win new opportunities with clients and partners that would not have been open to us without demonstrated proof of adherence to the aforementioned.
ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 provide international attestation and demonstrable proof of UrbanLogiq’s privacy controls which is required by many of our clients and partners.

Through the certification process, our MSECB representative were helpful, responsive, and professional. We appreciate their flexibility and agility with regards to our timelines, and they were able to accomplish the audit within our anticipated time frame without undue delay.
