MSECB extends its accreditation scope with ISO/IEC 17021 by IAS
MSECB is pleased to announce that after successfully meeting the Accreditation Criteria, MSECB’s scope of accreditation has been extended by The International Accreditation Service (IAS) to now include ISO/IEC 27701:2019, the 2019 version of ISO 22301 and a few new economic sectors for ISO 9001:2015.
Following a successful assessment performed by IAS, from now on, we will be able to offer accredited certifications for ISO/IEC 27701:2019 and ISO 22301:2019 under the Accreditation Criteria for Bodies Operating Certification of Organization based on ISO/IEC 17021. This accreditation decision, reflects MSECB’s conformance to the accreditation criteria and proves our commitment to pursuing excellence.
As part of the accreditation assessment, IAS conducted a verification and validation process to ensure that MSECB is impartial and objective as a certification body. It also confirmed that MSECB’s certification process is conducted in a consistent, comparable, and reliable manner. This process required rigorous quality reviews of MSECB processes and its certification programs.
Once again, we have demonstrated our expertise and commitment in offering certification services to organizations. The extension of our accreditation scope for ISO/IEC 17021 with three additional schemes by IAS shows our commitment to provide the best-practice services that build trust, inspire confidence, and show that recognition matters.

About IAS
IAS is a wholly owned subsidiary of the International Code Council (ICC) based in Brea, California. IAS is a private, nonprofit organization providing a public-benefit service to the industry, stakeholders, and consumers.
IAS accredits testing and calibration laboratories, inspection agencies, management system certification bodies, personnel certification bodies, and product certification agencies. The accreditation process requires applicants to demonstrate compliance with IAS accreditation criteria and the relevant international standards such as ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17021 series, ISO/IEC 17024, and ISO/IEC 17065 respectively. Compliance with these requirements is determined by verifying the applicant and/or accredited organization’s technical competence and management documentation systems through a series of onsite and field witness assessments conducted by IAS.
IAS maintains signatory status with the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) for accreditation of testing, calibration, inspection programs and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) for product certification and management system programs in the disciplines of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and environmental management systems (ISO 14001). This means that endorsed certificates issued by IAS-accredited entities in these areas have global reach and acceptance. For more information, please visit www.iasonline.org.
