About the experience in auditing

""

I have worked as an auditor for several years, and many things have become valuable experiences for me to develop audit skills continuously.

Carrying out an audit in Indonesia, which is famous for its ethnic, cultural, and linguistic diversity, is challenging. The ability to communicate with new people from different backgrounds is certainly interesting.

Of course, a different approach must be taken immediately to deal with auditees of various cultures, languages, and habits. If the auditor can adapt well to his auditee, this will certainly be very helpful in the audit process.

The auditor’s ingenuity in finding potential non-conformities and improvement gaps is pleasing even though the purpose of the audit is certainly not to look for non-conformities. With good communication, sometimes discrepancies are discovered by auditees during discussions, and in the end, this will become a potential improvement for them to test whether the system created is appropriate or needs to be updated.

The closing meeting is my favorite part of the audit process. It marks the end of the audit, introducing a sense of renewal to the organization. All findings must be conveyed clearly to ensure there are no uncertainties so that at the end of the audit, everyone will feel happy and enthusiastic bringing new thoughts regarding improvement plans that will be carried out in the future.

Prasetyo's experience with MSECB

I have experience conducting audits with several certification bodies, which have some differences, especially in audit reports and auditor development.

At MSECB I discovered several new things that I had not obtained at other certification bodies. One of them concerns the regularity of the time frame that must be adhered to while conducting the audit.

A clear and purposeful audit report template helps in reporting the audit. Auditors are also given the freedom to develop the contents into the template of the report so that in each audit cycle developments can be seen in terms of the reports produced.

The MSECB technical team also plays an important role in reviewing audit reports to ensure that the reports produced comply with the established quality standards.

MSECB also provides high service to customers by giving them the freedom to send feedback regarding customer satisfaction and input needed to improve service.

MSECB will professionally carry out assignments to its auditors based on their abilities and competencies so that auditors, and especially customers, are expected to get maximum benefits and grow from these audit activities.

I appreciate what MSECB has done to comply with the regulations and requirements of IAS, and ISO/IEC 17021-1. This is of course to ensure that the integrity of the certification body, and its auditors is well maintained.

I recommend MESCB to any organization looking for a recognized and accredited certification body and to individuals willing to undergo an outstanding audit experience.
