About the experience in auditing
With over 10 years of audit experience, I have conducted over thirty internal audits, supplier, and third-party compliance and certification audits in ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards. Throughout my auditing career, I have audited organizations of various industries to achieve compliance, enhance operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement. My audit career has spanned organizations in fintech, telecommunications, public service, FMCG, manufacturing, banking, oil and gas, facilities management, etc.
I have faced major challenges during my auditing experience that involved keeping up-to-speed with diverse and ever-changing regulatory frameworks across business sectors and continents. I have been able to navigate through continuous professional development, attending webinars and training sessions. Another challenge as an auditor is the client’s wrong perception of audits as a distraction and mere compliance exercise, rather than a business partner. To scale this hurdle and calm the resistance, I reassure clients about the benefits the audit brings to business growth.
My favorite part of the audit is the opportunity it creates to share knowledge and experience in ISO management systems requirements with clients’ representatives while also learning and developing myself by listening, observing, and gaining insights across various sectors and industries. I find fulfillment in helping clients see audits as not just for compliance but opportunities for improvement. “See the auditor not as a policeman here to punish but as a partner-in-progress seeking to help add value to your processes and system” is what I always tell clients at opening meetings. My goal for the future is to build further my expertise, gain opportunities to conduct more audits internationally, and have broader experience across cultures, continents, and industries.

After meeting all the certification requirements and professional experience criteria and complying with the MSECB Code of Ethics I became an MSECB Certified Management Systems Auditor. Since then, I have conducted several certification and surveillance audits on behalf of MSECB for clients in various sectors including information technology, financial services, payment solutions, real estate, renting, transportation, communication, public administration, etc.
