Professional Experience
Valeryia Kuzminova is an Information Security specialist with over 10 years of successful experience in the field. She graduated from the Belarusian State Technological University in 2011 with a degree in Industrial Product Certification Engineering. Since then, Valeryia has focused her career on information security management systems.
Her foundation in professional discipline was shaped by her background in sports, having earned the title of Master of Sport in synchronized swimming. This experience instilled in her the values such discipline, determination, teamwork, and a strong results-oriented mindset, which have since become integral to her approach in designing and maintaining robust security systems for organizations worldwide.
Throughout her career, Valeryia has successfully led more than 300 certification projects across industries such as IT, logistics, construction, and equipment manufacturing. Her expertise spans a wide range of international standards, including ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 9001, and ISO 28000, supporting companies in over 20 countries.
In recent years, Valeryia has expanded her knowledge of modern security frameworks. Between 2023 and 2024, she completed three SOC 2 certification cases and participated in two TISAX certification projects. She continues to enhance her skills through specialized cybersecurity training programs, keeping pace with the ever-evolving security landscape.
Valeryia is a firm believer in continuous learning, which is why she actively participates in international training programs and regularly engages with other information security professionals. Her work has not only helped companies meet compliance requirements but also enabled them to build genuine trust with clients and partners, thereby strengthening their market position.

My favorite aspect of auditing is participating in meaningful conversations with technical teams and security specialists. These interactions provide insights into cutting-edge technologies and allow me to witness firsthand how creative solutions address complex security challenges. I particularly enjoy analyzing implementation approaches and identifying patterns that contribute to a strong security posture.
Working with the updated ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard has been especially rewarding — particularly its enhanced focus on Annex A controls. The revised structure offers clearer guidance for modern security challenges, and I find great satisfaction in helping organizations understand and implement these updated requirements effectively.
The most significant challenge in my auditing career has been the need to constantly adapt to the fast-evolving cybersecurity landscape. Technologies advance rapidly, threat vectors grow more complex, and regulatory demands continually expand. Yet, this challenge is also what makes the work exciting and deeply meaningful.
My experience spans a wide range of audit types, including ISO certification services, participation in SOC 2 and TISAX assessments, pre- and post-implementation reviews, system security evaluations, privacy audits, and third-party risk assessments. Each area brings unique perspectives and learning opportunities.
Looking ahead, my goal is simple yet ambitious: to help as many organizations as possible secure their data and protect their customers’ information. In our interconnected world, cybersecurity is not just a technical requirement — it’s a fundamental responsibility to the people and organizations that place their trust in us.
